Allowable range of burrs affecting the quality of metal stamping parts

Metal stamping parts will produce varying degrees of burrs during the processing, which seriously affects the quality of metal stamping parts. If there are too many burrs on metal stamping parts, labor gloves will be worn, posing a safety hazard; Burrs on metal stamping parts will rub off on the mold, and iron filings will produce protrusions on the stamping parts, causing defects in external parts; Stamping burrs, friction in sheet metal parts, can cause scratches, which can lead to defects in external parts; If the flanging position is located in an area with excessive burrs, it is easy to cause cracking at the flanging position; If the burrs are too large, they can also easily fall off after painting, causing corrosion and reducing the service life of the vehicle body; Excessive burrs can also affect the edge quality of stamped parts.

The burrs on metal stamping parts are usually considered inevitable, so in people's minds, burrs exist as long as the stamping parts are stamped. In fact, burrs also have their allowable range:

1. Stamping parts require burr length to be less than 10% of the sheet metal thickness;

2. Burrs that do not affect the degree of welding edge bonding;

3. Burrs that are not likely to cause personal injury;

Stamping may not affect the positioning and assembly of parts due to burrs.
