1. Properly control cutting force and cutting speed

Properly controlling cutting force and cutting speed is also an effective means to reduce the temperature in the machining area and extend the service life of cutting fluid. When processing difficult to machine materials, precision grinding of the cutting edge is generally used, and the cutting depth and width should not be too large. When choosing the cutting line speed, factors such as different material types, part structures, and processing equipment should be considered. Generally speaking, if the processing material is nickel based alloy, the line speed should be controlled at 20-50 meters per minute; The processing material is titanium alloy, and the line speed should be controlled at 30-110 meters per minute; The processing material is PH stainless steel, and the line speed should be controlled within the range of 50-120 meters per minute.

2. Choose a reasonable cutting method

For difficult to machine materials, different cutting methods have significant differences in the damage caused by cutting fluids. No matter which cutting method is chosen, the principle is the same, which is to minimize cutting force and cutting zone temperature as much as possible. Cycloid cutting method can greatly reduce the cutting area, make the actual cutting angle of the cutting fluid smaller, thereby prolonging the heat dissipation time of each tooth and reducing the cutting temperature; The spiral interpolation method can make the cutting amount of each tooth relatively uniform, avoiding the concentration of cutting force on a few teeth and accelerating wear, which is more obvious at corners; However, by using a large feed rate cutting method with a smaller cutting depth and a larger feed rate, the cutting force is effectively reduced, resulting in cutting heat generated during the machining process and lower temperatures in the machining area.

3. Ensure timely and effective chip breaking

In metal processing, a large amount of cutting heat is usually generated on the chips. If the chip length can be controlled and timely and effective chip breaking can be ensured, this part of the cutting heat can be carried away by the chips, so chip breaking is an effective way to control the cutting temperature. When processing difficult to machine materials, during rough machining, chips should be generated as much as possible throughout the entire machining process, provided that the rigidity of the machining system allows. At the same time, use cutting fluid with good settling performance to settle and discharge chips, and do not let the chips rub against the surface of the workpiece being processed. When mixed with water, a stable transparent solution can be formed. This product has good settling, lubrication, rust prevention, cooling, and cleaning properties. It has strong resistance to microbial decomposition and can maintain its stability under different water hardness conditions. Its service life is more than 5 times that of ordinary emulsified oil.
