Metal stamping parts are used in various industries for processing different products and materials. Both precision parts and large component parts can be stamped. Stamping processing can also be divided intoPrecision metal stampingUnlike ordinary metal stamping, although both are stamping processes, the two are different. So what is the difference between these two? Let's take a look at the differences between these two.
Ordinary metal stamping:
This type of metal stamping does not require high precision. Its substrate thickness is relatively thick and does not require cutting, trimming, stretching, or other processes. Ordinary stamping processes can meet this requirement.
Precision metal stamping:
We can understand from the word "precision" that precision metal stamping processing requires high precision. During the processing, there are high technical matching requirements for precision punching machines, molds, materials, lubricants, etc., and also high technical requirements during processing. Its precision requirements will have a range, and if it exceeds this range, it will be an unqualified stamped part. So the requirements for this stamping process are also relatively high.
Generally speaking, the main factors affecting its accuracy include: incorrect punching sequence, springback during the punching process, inconsistent shape of the workpiece in the previous process and the supporting surface of the working part of the mold in the next process, which causes deformation of precision metal stamping parts during the punching process, thereby affecting the accuracy of dimensions. Due to poor positioning during the operation, the blank moved during the punching process. Inaccurate positioning caused by defects in the cut (such as angular shape, missing edges, etc.) can lead to dimensional deviations. The quality of the selected raw materials is relatively poor. The manufacturing of the cutting edge size of the stamping die exceeds the tolerance. The stamping of multi process parts has disrupted the principle of equal volume during deformation due to improper adjustment of the previous process or wear of the rounded corners, resulting in changes in dimensions after stamping. The stamping plate shape is not good.
If any of the above points are not done well, it will definitely affect its accuracy. So to improve the accuracy of precision metal stamping, it is necessary to grasp the above points. Only when all aspects are done well can high-precision stamped parts be processed.
